Daily Review Quiz on Friday
Quick Check on Poetry Wednesday

Important Dates:

  • No School Monday, March 13

Reading Logs
Each week, students will have a reading log stapled in their planner. Students are to read at least 60 minutes each week. You may break up the required minutes however you see fit to work with your home schedule, however students DO need to read EVERY DAY!

Tests/Quizzes
I tell my students that Reading is the only class where you don't really have to study! All you need is to remember your reading strategies, think about what you're reading, and remember to LOOK BACK IN THE STORY for the answers!
Daily Review Quizzes will be given most Fridays, and book quizzes will be given when we finish a book. Students do not need to study, and will be allowed to use their notebooks/books/texts on their quizzes. It is my goal to teach students how to find the answers they need in the texts they are given.

Working together provides your child with a greater chance of success.  The fourth grade team has high expectations for the students.  Students are accountable for being responsible and for always putting their best foot forward.  I look forward to the new school year and should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me via e-mail or phone
