Mrs. Masters
My name is Marianne Masters, and I am the Physical Education teacher at Goodview Elementary School. I graduated with my teaching degree from Springfield College in Massachusetts in 1982, and have been working with children of all ages ever since!
Activities that are provided are based on the Bedford County Elementary Physical Education S.O.L curriculum.
Prek/K: Developing fundamental movement patterns is the primary focus
1st Grade: Understanding key movement concepts while developing socially as they work alone or in groups.
2nd Grade: Being successful at a variety of activities. Progression is apparent in skill development. Students continue working cooperatively and are capable of resolving conflict.
3rd Grade: Students refine and combine skills in complex situations. Students can relate regular fitness activity to health benefits.
4th Grade: Proficient movement patterns are possible with strategies. Fitness assessment is appropriate and personal goals are recorded.
5th Grade: Movement principles are applied to enhance performance,personal fitness and game .
Experiences in Physical Education are intended to help develop a positive attitude for leading a healthy, active lifestyle.
Skills to date; soccer,football,volleyball,basketball,fitness,tumbling & balance, hockey and various manipulatives based on holiday/seasonal activities.
Class Rules

Be cooperative
Always try your best
