Assistant Principal

                                                    Mr. DeMaio

Dear Goodview Families,

It is with great excitement that I write this letter of introduction as the new Assistant Principal of Goodview Elementary School. I am truly honored to accept this new role and look forward to working with Mrs. Morris, as well as the rest of our staff, in our efforts to do whatever it takes to advance the achievement of all students here at Goodview Elementary. Working together, I am confident that we will continue to provide our students with a truly challenging and enriching school experience.

I am entering my eighth year in education. I graduated from Lynchburg College in 2010 with my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and went on to earn my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Lynchburg College in Dec. 2016. I spent seven years as a fifth grade teacher at Rockfish River Elementary in Nelson County before joining the Goodview Elementary team. I feel extremely fortunate to be expanding my role within our school. Goodview Elementary is a special and unique community and I am proud to be a part of it.

The elementary school years are important and critical times for students. What happens during these years will have a lasting impression on their growth and development. My goal as Assistant Principal is to provide the leadership that will facilitate a school environment that is safe and respectable, in order for your child to receive the best possible academic instruction. I am confident that our school will continue to be a place where our students can learn and grow academically and socially.

Please feel free to stop in and say hello, as my door is always open. If there is anything I can assist you with, please let me know.

Mr. Jonathan DeMaio
