Science:
Students will continue SOL 5.5 Living Systems this week. We will be focusing on Plant and Animal cells, labeling and locating their individual organelles, comparing and contrasting the cell parts, reviewing the jobs of their cell parts, and learning about the Kingdoms of living things in order to classify them.

Writing/Spelling:
Students will continue their fall related, descriptive writing paper this week. Students will focus on using all 5 of their senses and descriptive words to explain various things they relate to fall.
Students will continue studying their spelling words this week and will have a spelling test on Friday.

Reading:
This week students will continue to focus on using figurative language and imagery in poems and being able to identify each in other's writing and poems. Students will read various poems, answer comprehension questions, will complete graphic organizers, and more! Please help your child to find a book they are interested in to bring to school each day to read! Please encourage your child to read as often as they can!
